Why you should run more than one speed test

Network capacity is shared and time-dependent, so a small set of comparable tests is more informative.

Internet traffic is not fixed. Other devices on the same connection, neighborhood demand, server load, and routing can all change the capacity available during a test. Repeating a test helps separate a temporary condition from a pattern.

Use the same device, browser, connection method, and location for each run. Leave a short pause between tests, then repeat at another time of day if the question is about an ongoing slowdown. Compare the group of results instead of treating the best or worst value as the only answer.

Repeated tests still describe the path to the measurement server, not every online service. They are a practical record of observed conditions and should be combined with service-specific checks when a particular app is affected.
